Course Description
(Note: Classes can be booked separately or as a full package of four to five sessions ) Each AfroCuban Technique & Musicality Workshop class last approx (55min - 1hr): Explore the rich traditions of AfroCuban dance by learning the fundamental techniques, musical intricacies and cultural expressions. In this course we will also explore and learn when and how to incorporate what you learnt and what moves to apply in a social dance context, like your club and Salsa dancing. - Suitable for all - Focussing on proper technique, steps, and musicality - SOLID FOUNDATION: Get a solid AFRO-CUBAN Foundation * Intro, steps, musicality, concept /choreography ...... 👉 Benefits of Dance - Improve fitness, posture & coordination - Build Confidence - Meet new people - Connect with your partner OR meet someone special - Join the Latin Dance community (worldwide) - Feel great, improve your mood - AND Have fun! 👉 CLOTHING Please remember to bring a long wide Skirt for the female Orishas. Note: You can get your skirts from us if you don't have one. Contact us for info. Classes All dance classes start with Warm-Up so please be ready to start 5mins before the first class, they will finish with cool-down and stretching exercises. All workshops are different and all levels are welcome (from complete beginners to professional dance/teachers) – however, please check the program. Some changes may be necessary During the practical workshops, we are going to be working on correct style technique, body isolation, male-female style, footwork, musicality, coordination, body movements, isolation plus. In some workshops as per the style required, we are also concentrating on partner work as well, which will have a different approach. Why dance Afro-Cuban with us?
