ANGELICA MARION
Jamaica Angelica Marion has always been inspired by films, so when she was around the age of 15/16 She came across an array of many dance film that sparked her interest in dance. One particular film caught her eye, “ You got severed” She watched that film about 100 time. Downloaded the song from the film and played it back again and again trying to pick up the choreography. She searched the internet for places that dancers would go so she could immerse her-self in the world of hip pop culture, in the hopes that she could become a great dancer and as luck would have it she did. " I made friends who are amazing dancers and by watching them I learnt so much ‘popping, top rocks, house and whacking. I watched Dirty dancing and was inspired to learn salsa which took me six months to master. After spending hours watching peoples feet I gain confidence I finally had the courage asked people to dance, it took a while for them to warm towards to me but I haven’t looked back since" Since then Angelica has done a couple of music videos : - Singing and dancing in Michael Jackson tribute play in Spain , The play one night in house of casa Blanca in Whales, A Featured dancer in Cuban furry, Currently training at AMTA studying musical theatre and teaching bachata. |
